The American College Center for Military and Veterans Affairs established its annual fundraising event in 2014 to honor veteran scholars, celebrate donors and partners, provide professional development opportunities, and recognize leaders in the financial services industry with the Soldier-Citizen Award.
Formerly known as the Clambake and Soldier-Citizen Award Ceremony, the Center for Military and Veterans Affairs’ MIlitary Summit is ever-improving, with strides being made towards growth and enhancement each year. The 2025 event will feature invaluable opportunities for connection through the Military Resource Group Networking Lounge and scholar speeches, engaging and timely insights through educational workshops, and the annual Maury Stewart Lecture Series. The day will culminate with the Soldier-Citizen Award and Scholarship Fund Dinner, where we will celebrate the 11th annual Soldier-Citizen Award recipient. The purpose of the award is to honor individuals who have made significant contributions to both the United States military and the financial services industry. In doing so, we celebrate military leadership and professional success. The recipient represents someone who has protected American freedoms as a soldier and subsequently demonstrated leadership as a professional and in civic life. We strive to honor an outstanding individual for their military service and the impact they have made on society, particularly supporting the financial wellness of others. As the true embodiment of the award, the recipient shows excellence both as a soldier and as a citizen.
